Hey Guys,

Just have to say thanks to Mike for helping a dream come true. Turns out Mike showed me several Ghosts with buds (and one in bloom) right where I have been looking for years! And of course several other places I would have never found. Thank you again Mike, your kindness was above and beyond and I really appreciate it.

I will be going through the pictures and posting them in a few minutes. It may take a little while to get the pics. online 'cause I took quite a few (I think around 350).

Dave,

Awesome to see the third bud opened on that Ghost. I told Mike we should have stayed out there overnight so I could have shot it this morning!

I felt the same way wanting to wait for the fourth one to finish opening. We found 9 ghost all together today 3 with buds and 1 with a double flower on one spike.

Sounds like you had a great day! We will have to plan a day where we can all get together out there.

Okay, first shot:

This is the first Ghost Orchid bloom that I have ever seen. After anticipating seeing a Ghost in bloom for so long, I wondered if I would be dissapointed by what I actually saw. Not at all! The Ghost truly does glow among all the greens and greys. This is a shot of the double. Neither of the flowers were "perfect", meaning, they had blemishes. But such is nature, and they were still extremely beautiful. We counted 7 flowers in total yesterday.

My hands look like balloons today from all of the Deer Fly bites. I have about 15 on each hand and they always make me swell.

Still have to finish going through the photos, will update this once I do.
