First, thank you so much for posting the pics above, they are beautiful. I've been searching all over the place for pics of orchids in their natural habitat - I can't thank you enough!! I like the wide-angle too!

Second - my son had one of these: http://www.militarysupplyhouse.com/a...riesus2.htmand he used it often, it lasted forever, and it was great for long treks.

just came back from a trip to fakahatchee with swamper last week i saw a ghost finally in bloom and yesterday look at this a ghost that most likely will break the parks record of 3 flowers at one time this one has 2 blooming right now but has 3 more coming any day now might? be 5 at once thanks JESUS,JEHOVA

Man Mike, good shots! Are you going to be out there Saturday? I will be there all day. I will have to find out if Dave will be there too.

Hey Justin, I'm going to be doing a 7 mile thru hike from loop road to US 41 on Saturday.

That's one spectacular find Mike.

Im very interested to know, how smells the Flower of the Vanilla phaeantha Orchid. Have it a scent or is it odorless ?

Hi Safet, I can tell you that they do not have a pleasant scent. I would best describe it as a dirty sock smell.
