Dave summed it up Mike, you are the Real Ghost Hunter! Great job on the new find, that is spectacular! 20 more, Mike Owens must love you. I cannot make it down this weekend but next weekend I will be down for sure.

That Ghost shot is so beautiful, and then to see the Vanilla as well... Great work Mike.

How does next weekend sound for healthy blooms of Ghost and Vanilla?

Thank you again for the shots, they are very beautiful.

Talk to you guys soon.

Wow, great to see both the Ghost and the Vanilla blooms.

It's the first pic I've seen of a Ghost bloom and I didn't realise how big the bloom would be. (I now realise that both Mike & Dave have Ghost flowers in their Avatars. Not having seen one before I had not realised).

The Vanilla bloom is great. I understand these are very short lived, is that correct?

I can really understand why you guys like looking for these in the wild. There is something really special about just seeing pics of orchids in the wild... how much better to see them in person. :

It is tough knowing there are Ghosts in bloom out there right now, but I cannot make it for another 7 days. Next Saturday I will be out there sunrise to sunset... I hope to see you guys out there as well.

If all goes well I should have some pretty descent shots next week. Worst comes to worst, I will be out there towards the end of June for several days and will re-shoot the Ghost then if I have to.

Keep up the good work guys and take care.

Hey guy, I made it out yesterday, beside being wet all day and fighting mosquito, it was beautiful. The latest rains revived the resurrection fern and moss. Turned for a gray to green.

We did 3 1/2 miles where we have never been before. Not a lot of new finds but did learn something new about our ghost spikes. This plant put out 2 spikes that have blasted at the top, but the spikes have regenerated new buds on the same blasted spike.
