Do you guys ever go on weekends? I woudl love to go sometime with experienced hikers, but I live in Orlando so it woudl have to be a weekend...Please let me know if you ever do go on weekends and I could tag along. I am in good shape!

Hi Jen, I generally go on weekends. And I have offered this before. So just to remind and tell new members. I would be happy to take any member to the Fakahatchee strand and introduce them to "OUR" piece of heaven! I feel the more people who see and appreciate this wonderful place, the better chance it will be preserved for a very long time. PM me if you are interested and I will tell you what you will need and what to bring.

I usually have weekdays off although I do have this sunday off. Dave would be a great candidate to take you on weekends though, and Mike is sometimes off on weekends as well. You're gonna have a great time

You don't have to take them from the wild to own one they are readily available from commercial growers. Oak hill, Andy's and ebay to name a few.
