Default Some orchids seen on today’s walk

I went for a bush walk today and came across several species of native orchid. These grow beside the track - small flowers and very easy to miss. I found out to my surprise today that there are about 140 species of terrestrial orchid growing in my local area - ignored and unappreciated by almost everyone including myself until the recent past. The pictures are of a flying duck orchid, a bearded orchid but not sure of species, and a greenhood of some sort. I’ve also included a miniature Drosera for anyone interested in carnivores.

The friend I went with took these photos. Unfortunately my standard of photography never reached this level.

Cheers

Flying ducks in the wild! How fun. I really, really like whatever the second one is. And the drosera in situ... I keep obsessing whether I can grow these or not. And have seen several pictures recently here of them growing in the wild. I need to just man up and get something going!

Fantastic Arron! The flying duck orchid really is amazing. That's a duck alright! Also, we have to check your pockets.
