I'd sign up for his class in a second and the interesting vernacular doesn't turn me off. The scientific names seem to roll off his tongue with ease and make learning fun. Beautiful playground he gets to xplore.

Yep. One of my favourite You tubers. As I don’t live in the US the botanical stuff isn’t all that interesting to me, I just like his world view and his asides on society and politics. In these days of turmoil we are all keenly watching the US from afar and especially the machinations of the orange one.

Tindo my friend, I don't know what to say. The guy sounds like he's from Brooklyn, His grasp of proper English is negligible, And yet his grasp of botany and botanical language is beyond amazing. I left his language behind many years ago, but it doesn't offend me. Thanks for posting this.

Orchids make many appearances in his Aus videos, but only terrestrials, which is inevitable as WA has no epiphytes. He was also in New Caledonia earlier this year and did about a dozen videos. Botanically, that place is seriously weird. |

Awesome Arron! I didn't know that! Thanks for mentioning it - and I will definitely go to find those vids! Greatly appreciated that heads-up.

Yea I knew about those videos. I might watch the New Caledonia vid because I have read so much about it. The Australian ones I will save for a day that I am really bored since I have my hands full learning the US stuff.
Hey, I'm glad you guys like it. I've already used some of his talking points in my field classes, minus the colourful words (sometimes).

I watched the Australia one, which was fascinating. He's like a walking biology book, mixed with Rocky Balboa.
He's highly intelligent for sure. But likes to use the colourful words for a good variety show and laugh hahaha. His communications skills are at quite a high level. He's definitely intelligent. |

I would not have posted that video here if it wasn't full of information or hosted by someone who was not so smart. I'm glad his intelligence shines through, even at night.
