I was shopping in Shop Rite food store in Bayville, NJ and as I always do, I glanced at the ubiquitous Phalenopsis orchids. That is basically all they have. One day I spotted a gem among the Phals. Somehow I Miltonia had slipped in. I quickly bought it. This is second year she bloomed. The blooms are HUGE. I don't know what species is. Maybe someone could help?
It actually looks like a miltionopsis to me, not a miltonia (a very common mistake to the point where many shops mislabel them). I couldn't find a 100% match, but it looks similar to this one and the one pictured here. That tear-shaped pattern of pink on the lip is very common in miltionopsis, so it might just be a hybrid.
