Psychopsis Bloom! Female
Talking Psychopsis Bloom!

It's been a few months of patient waiting for my spike to stop growing - and for that little bud to keep plumping - and my Psychopsis finally opened! I grow him under lights in my music room upstairs in a humidity tray. Knock wood, foliage seems to look good, though one of his leaves was pretty beat up when I bought him. I look forward to many blooms in the future!

Gorgeous bloom, Psychopsis are among my favorite orchids flowers. Just in case you didn't know it, don't cut the spike until it's completely brown and dead as these can rebloom off the same spike for up to a decade, though 5-7 years is average. Don't even cut it if the tip of the spike starts yellowing, I often get side spikes on mine and then the spike carries on blooming like nothing happened..
