Tharrrr she blows!
This is probably the most anticipated bloom in my entire collection of about 200 orchids. She’s not the most rare orchid that I have, or the most prolific bloomer (yet), not nearly the most difficult to grow, not the strongest fragrance, and doesn’t possess the most unique blooms... But she was my VERY first orchid, so she’s pretty special to me, and is my favorite individual orchid out of them all. It’s her first time blooming so I’m kind of stoked and feeling like a proud mama. Only four flowers for her first spike and they are much more vibrant and larger than what I was expecting. I bought her as a little seedling in a 2" pot from Haussermans in 2015, with leaves no larger than a .50cent piece. That was before I knew that it wasn’t recommend for beginners to start with seedings or species.. But hey, she’s still alive and blooming so that’s what’s important.

Congratulations! What gorgeous blooms! Phal. schilleriana is one of those that I would dearly love to have but for the size. You've done a fabulous job raising yours from a seedling.
