Intergenetic hybrids
Here are some blooms from the other day.
Photo 1, is photo of blooms, there are seven different kinds in bloom. See if you can find them.
Photo 2, Colm. Wildcat ‘Doris’, bottom middle photo, is one that we give more water in summer.
Photo 3, NOID (Brassia of some kind), farthest left, yellow and brown spider looking, blooms a couple of times a year. Flower sepals start out greenish and end up orangish. Photo 4
Photo 5, Adgm. Tarantula ‘Sweet Orange’, behind Brassia, orange and brown, one we give more water in summer. Just a cool color for flowers
Second row Photo 6, Mtssa.Charles Fitch (tag says that but I don’t know), in back by post, light purple with darker purple, spider like. Unique spike, as all the buds cluster at the tip of the spike
Photo 7, Onc. Gower Ramsey, bright yellow and reddish brown, in middle of photo. An old favorite, easy to grow, can take a lot of abuse.
Photo 8, Onc. Green Valley Sweet, back post on right, dark purple with white spot on lip. A Sharry Baby look alike, not as fragrant but much more guignardia/phyllosticta resistant. Blooms are darker purple too
Photo 9, Mclna. Pagon Love Song, way back right, in the roots. Pale yellow with brown spots and bars.
