I opened another thread about this one, Neofenetia falcata v. Hoshiguruma, but will all (save one bud) flowers open I decided to put it here as well. The flower is spurless and peloric. The fragrance is wonderful!
This Haraella odorata was in bloom from last October until January, then stopped. At that time I moved both of my HOs to my new mini area where they have done quite well. The plants look more vigorous, and the sepals/petals are a deeper greenish tone. The fragrance from the flowers is significantly stronger than it was previously as well.
Several Phal. parishii happily grow here, and it's a species I love. Two, from Andy's, are mounted while this one, from Peter Lin, is potted (though after blooming it, too, shall be mounted). The plants from Andy's came as unbloomed seedlings; this year one flowered and one didn't. This one, from Peter, currently has 4 spikes.
Blooming an ideal color for Easter, one of my Phal. sanderiana has just opened her first flowers. I love the way a spray of flowers looks when fully open but I also love the barren, fragile appearance of just one or two flowers open. This plant bloomed last year on a somewhat shorter, non-branching inflorescence.
