There are Dendrobiums from many different climates. Different types of Dendrobium need different treatment in cultivation. Frosty Dawn is not a nobile type and not a phal type.

This one is in the Formosae section. They like moderate temperatures all year, and are usually fine with a much cooler winter. They like bright light but not full sun, and relatively even watering. During the cooler winter they should get a little less water but not dry out completely.

Nobile types need a cool, drier winter rest and phal types need warmth and watering all year.
