I suspect this plant is my Zen master. It has been patiently teaching me about the agony of expectations and disappointment for four long years (& 4 months!).

I got this leonis in September of 2012. It spiked that year, and every year since - multiple spikes, which went on to produce multiple buds that grew and grew, and blasted, every one. Every year.

But! I have a bloom to show you this year I'm not counting any other buds before they hatch, but there is one lovely flower.

Congratulations! The flower is just beautiful!

I have been having the same problem with my 'larger' leonis. I get the buds but then they turn yellow and drop...two years in a row, now. This post gives me hope. Thanks!
