Hang is present tense:
I hang the pot. (now)
You (singular) hang the pot. (now)
She/he/it hangs the pot. (now)
We hang the pot. (now)
You (plural) hang the pot. (now)
They hang the pot. (now)

To be (present tense)+ hanging is present progressive tense.
I am hanging the pot. (now)
You (singular) are hanging the pot. (now)
It/he/she is hanging the pot. (now)
We are hanging the pot. (now)
You (plural) are hanging the pot. (now)
They are hanging the pot. (now)

Hanged is (theoretically) the correct simple past tense. But this is not used. The verb "hanged" in at least American English is reserved for killing a person with a noose on a rope. For other uses, almost everybody would say:
I hung the pot. (past)
You hung the pot. (past)
It/he/she hung the pot. (past)
We hung the pot. (past)
You (plural) hung the pot. (past)
They hung the pot. (past)

Killing a person with a rope:
They are hanging him. (present progressive)
He hanged himself. (past)
He was hanged. (past perfect)
He will be hanged by the neck until dead. (future progressive)

So, we do not say any of these:
I hanged the pot. (past)
You (singular) hanged the pot. (past)
It/he/she hanged the pot. (past)
We hanged the pot. (past)
You (plural) hanged the pot. (past)
They hanged the pot. (past)

To hang out is used to refer to doing nothing in particular:
What will you do in the city center? I'll just hang out.

But this also means for something to protrude through an opening:
The pot is hanging out of the window.

Hung is (theoretically) to be used in past perfect tense with the verb to to be in the past tense. "The stockings were hung by the chimney with care..."

Hung also is used in impolite speech to refer to the size of male body parts. "That guy is HUNG!"

So, for your sentence:
Both hang in 15cm pots.
They both hang in 15cm pots.

Both are hanging in 15cm pots.
They are both hanging in 15cm pots.

And finally Ionopsis utriculariodes. It was the most challenging to shoot its pinkish stripes... It kept turning all whites under bright light. Any tips to shoot small white striped flowers?
