Thanks all for sharing in my enjoyment. I have a second bloom now. I love this site! Where else could you feel like others really understand your addiction instead of looking at you like you're a crazy loon for being so excited over a little bloom?

Curious though, all the cornu-cervi blooms I've seen on other plants are quite tiny and the ones on this plant are the same size as, say, a violacea. I had steeled myself for a teeny tiny flower, but am pleasantly surprised. Why are all the others so tiny? Or is mine a freak?

It has a lovely spicy scent. I smelled it today when it was warmed by sunshine. Yum!
