Loving my new mannii. Propped it on a mount, and so far it seems happy. Might need to beautify his leaves a little bit. Even though they were thoroughly washed, it seems they still have some fungicide/pesticide residue from importing.

I've used milk before to shine up the leaves. Does this interfere at all with photosynthesis or harm them at all?

Well I was misleading, I have no problem saying how much I love mannii, it's just that I killed mine that I had had since 2005 last fall. Every time someone posts there's it brings it all back and I want to kick myself. It was one of my favorite orchids. It had 2 spikes every year after only 1 the first year but then after it always had 2. It was so healthy and then I got dumb and killed it.

Oh dear. Sorry to hear that, Shannon. But I think that just means you get to buy another one to love.
