A bunch of bloom pics from the room formerly known as my office
Back in 2007 or so, I had 4-5 orchids on the windowsill in my home office. There are over a hundred now. The computer desk takes up about 1/4 as much real estate as plants do in here.... I guess it isn't really the office anymore.
Below are a few of my in-bloom orchids. Several more with buds are right behind. My Phals and a few others are under T-5s. The rest are growing under LED lights from First Rays.
Do I get a free bulb for that, Ray?

If you call them therapy plants and get them a blue vest it will be OK in your office.

They're not worth it? Don't let them hear you say that.

Beautiful! I especially like the little red (appears to be a soph) cross. Do you have a name for that one?

Thanks for looking. That one is one of my favorites, too.
It's C. walkeriana 'Pendentive' x Slc. Red Jewel. A friend of mine from a local orchid greenhouse made the cross and ended up with oranges, yellows, pinks and reds. It's a super hardy little plant and blooms on most new growths. What more can a girl ask for?

I agree! It looks like I'll have to keep my eye opens for a red one because it really is spectacular. I don't really have any reds and I've already proven I can't grow coccinea so the next best thing would be one of these beauties. Thanks for sharing!

I have heard that coccinea is hard to grow. SVO has some nice crosses and I have a couple that I know the one has it in one parent and not sure about the other one.
