Darn! I can't get that much blooming from my big tenufolia, which grows like crazy but is a stingy bloomer. How do you do it?

I was giving it bright, direct east facing sun until the temps near the window got too cold and I had to move all my orchids about 4 feet back from the large picture window. I did read on someone else's thread (can't remember whose, sorry) that they kept theirs in a shallow dish of water, my bulbs were wrinkling so I decided to give that a try and it's been a very happy little plant ever since. I never let the dish go completely dry and I mist the top thoroughly every morning, fertilizing when I remember... I got it in bloom last spring and it rebloomed in July and kept putting out new blooms through September.
