Default Some new orchids in bloom

I may not have a whole lot of time for Orchidboard these days (writing up my PhD thesis, it should be done by Christmas!), but it sure doesn't stop me from buying some new orchids!

I needed some more Twinkle in my life, so got a white Oncidium Twinkle. It smells heavenly! It's a 3 bulb plant, but still has 4 spikes.

Since I already have a Howeara Lava Burst, I couldn't resist getting another Howeara; Howeara Chian-Tzy Lovely

The last 2 are Noids. One is a mini den that looks to have some Den affine in its background. I had one quite some years ago. Since I was only just starting with orchids then, it didn't last very long in my care.

And finally, a gorgeous Noid Phal that I simply could not resist at the supermarket. I saw it on Friday, said "NO, I'm not buying it". Well I ended up going back for it yesterday, and it was only 5€.

Beeeautiful!

I also found a phal like that one in a grocery store and couldn't avoid picking it up! Closest I could get to an ID was Chiada Francis 'Picotee'. The blooms fade to white over time but maintain the vibrant pink pattern, and the flowers have a subtle fragrance when they are warm. You might let the sun hit your blooms and see if you can smell anything.

Thanks for the tip Turock! There's not many sunny days here anymore, but I'll try putting it in sunlight next time it's sunny.

I think I'll give it that name as its NOID name. I usually name my Noids after the closest match I find, all while keeping 'NOID' on the tag.
