Flowers From Carmelas
Here are two of my recent birthday orchids. Both arrived in spike.
The first to open and first shown is Oncidium Ron's Rippling Delight 'A'. It has a strong scent I knew I'd smelled... then I stopped trying to think of flower and spice scents and just closed my eyes... it smells just like smoke produced when drilling too fast into cedar wood! I like the scent a lot. It is very strong this, the 4th morning it's been open.
The second is Miltassia Kauai's Choice 'Tropical Fragrance' AM/AOS. I can't detect any fragrance so far, but the first flower only opened yesterday morning.

So nice!
Wow, an orchid that smells like a campfire? I'll bet I could convince my husband to buy me that one!
I love the long, spindly petals on that miltassia. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your new haul.

Epidendrum porpax
Epidendrum porpax. Tree fern is about 3" x 2" / 7.5cm x 5cm.

The first one seems like a cambria...or there's a cambria that looks like it.

No, I ordered them for my birthday almost two weeks ago. I started a thread on the Carmela's Orchid shipment when they arrived and mentioned they are my birthday orchids. I figured a lot of the people who saw that thread would recognize the shipment of which I wrote.
I didn't realize it for a while, but in the yellow Site Menu at the left is a Calendar. Everybody who enters their birthday in their profile has this shown on the calendar.
And a few months ago I saw people whose birthday was that day listed at the very bottom of that page, but I haven't seen this since. I don't know whether it was a 1-time fluke.
