Default Aerangis leuto-alba var. rhodosticta

This little plant is growing in a 2" mesh pot sitting inside a 4" mesh basket. It seems to be quite happy with a lot of air movement from the fan and daily misting with rain water because it gave me five spikes this time. The second flower is from a prior blooming.

Really nice. I have one of these, smaller than yours, but sold to me as blooming size. They are really lovely.

How much light do you give your plant and how often do you water, or do you only mist it? Also, I've read conflicting reports about fragrance, have you happened to notice any on your flowers?

I water it heavily once per week when I water and fertilize the rest of my plant but I also mist it daily in the early part of the day., I have it hanging above the Phals. where there is no direct sun but very bright shade for about half of the day. Do consider that I grow in a greenhouse with four small fans running constantly.

Fragrance doesn't seem to interest me much unless it is something unique in scent. I walk close to the plant every day and I have never noticed any scent.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, I love orchid fragrances, which is actually what attracted me to Angraecoids in the first place. In the case of A. luteo-alba, though, I just liked the small size combined with the large attractive sprays of blooms, and the contrasting bright orange floral column. I suppose some clones may be fragrant while others not, and also they may only be fragrant at dusk or at night.

The light levels are what I find confusing. I read that a lot of people are giving them medium to bright light, but then I've seen lots of reports and information from sources saying that these are low-light / shade growers, similar to a lot of Phalaenopsis. For now I'm growing mine a bit brighter than I'd grow a Phalaenopsis, but keeping an eye on it for any sign of light related stress, which I think will be unlikely.

Amazing! I love this one!
I'd really would like to have one but I don't know why, I always buy something else.
But, really, yours is gorgeous! I'm seriously thinking about moving to Florida. You have the perfect weather.

Your leuto-alba rhodosticta is amazing, I have never seen this species flower so prolific as yours. It is wonderful and well done.
I have killed a number of rhodosticta in the past, just getting one to grow and I would be happy.
