Coelogyne fimbriata in bloom in Scotland!!
Having recently moved from home back in the States to a flat in Edinburgh, Scotland, I've had some trouble figuring out just what I can manage to grow in here. ( Finding places to buy anything besides generic phals has been even more challenging, but let's not talk about that. Unless you happen to have any good leads for me..)
Back in December last year, I held my breath and decided to go ahead and try a C. fimbriata I found on ebay, and I am so happy I did!
I only managed to get one half-decent picture apparently, but I wanted to show off anyway. My first (besides generic rescued phals) orchid bloom in Scotland! I actually got three flowers in succession off of this sweetie.

Very well done! Now, are you ready for a long, dark winter? Just kidding, Edinburgh is a fun town!

Attempting to get all figured out and arranged so as to maybe survive the upcoming dark spell slightly more happily than I did last year! Edinburgh's beautiful, but the lack of sun does get to me. I figure that my best hope is to pretty it up as much as possible in here with as many (dim-tolerant) plants as I can, so as to make it a sort of me-cave until the sun decides to return to us again.
