My blossoms at the end of January

Hi Everyone,
I have a few blossoms that I am enjoying during this cold wintery evening in January.
First of all, it is 24 F. degrees outside, freezing rain/sleet/snowing since morning. Did I mention the winds? I had to chase after my garbage can that was traveling down the road in mid air. Well, you all got the
Inside, however, my woodstove is going strong and it's nice and tropic, thanks to my chids. Here's what's happening in my neck of the woods in my cozy log cabin.
First is my Den. Iki, then P. Jumbo Red Rose, then a new Paph. called Spellbound xTuxedo Junction (not open but he loves to have his pic taken), then a P. NOID I've named Flamboyant One (likes to show off and tower over everyone else), Aerangis luteo-alba, P. Brother Peter 'Star', P. Mount Lip (the pic doesn't do her justice), and a group pic of my P. Sara Gold 'Peach', Mtssa. Jerry's Pick, and P. Brother Little Boy. Thanks for looking! kiki

LOL! Oh god yes, I hear you Kiki, the weather is very windy and cold. I've been after my patio set for days now - I actually hear it getting closer to the house at times

All those wonderful blooms should chase the outdoors away

Nice blooms, Kiki. Sounds like you really need them with the weather you're having! Our temperatures here on the southern tip of Vancouver Island are very moderate -- just 5 deg. celsius and we've missed the snow where I live. I love your Den. Iki and P. Brother Little Boy. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Kiki what a marvelous show! Den. Iki is looking great. Is it fragrant? I have a Den. Frosty Dawn that is just starting to bloom and it has a wonderful fragrance. It's like a giant version of Den. Iki.

What media do you have your Aer. potted in? Mine is in a thumb pot in sphag. It's doing OK, but I want to put it in a basket and ditch the sphag when it's done blooming.

Thanks Everyone! My chids keep my sanity in check...or I think it does.
Terri, the Iki is not fragrant, but she has proven to be an outstanding miniature den. This particular bloom is on her way out now, but I have 4 other buds starting to develop. She is a favorite.
The Aerangis is potted in a mix of coconut husk, perlite, and some charcoal all set into a cut-up onion bag to hold it all in the wooden basket. It is a very slow growing orchid. I got her about the same time as everyone doing the project here on OB, but I had just joined and didn't know what a project was. Coincidence, for sure, but nice to be able to follow along and realize how slow these guys grow. This is a fun site and I am glad to be a part of it. Thanks for asking. kiki

Hi all, Don't mean to correct anyone, but isn't the Aerangis luteo-alba all white and the Aerangis rhodosticta the one with the orange center aka project 4 plant? Which I can't wait till mine flowers. I bought a Sharry baby "fantasy Red" but after looking at other pictures of them, I think it is a Standard Sharry baby not Fantasy Red (mislabeled) I am easily confussed Anyway you have a
Beautiful collection that would brighten up any dreary winter.

Nope. A. luteo-alba var rhodostricta has the red center

A. luteo-alba var luteoalba has the white center.

Sematics, maybe.
