Dendrobium jenkensii

This one has been in my greenhouse for a very long time and this is the best flowering yet. It grows on a piece of cork and it is about ten inches wide.

Such a pot o' gold-stunning! Need your advice tho. I struggle with mine,had only 2 blooms this yr.Had put it on treefern mount last yr and kept it drier and under grow lights over winter.Went outside in spring,stepped up watering and fert. Mount is 6x3 and plant covers about 3/4 of it.Lots of leaves and pbs are plump.Dens give me a headache but I need to do better! Thanks

I can only tell you how I grow my plant and since I live in Florida it will not be possible for you to grow your plant the same way. In any event, I remove it from the greenhouse in mid November and place it in very bright light (half day of full sun). No fertilizer and no water except a weekly light misting until buds begin to appear in the spring. Watering is increased to once or twice per week depending on the outside humidity. Fertilizer is with-held until flowering is complete. I believe it would be correct to say that the plant is grown pretty much the same as nobile dendrobiums.
