Plodde may be also the light level, mine is grown really at the very high light, some direct sun every day, summer and winter.

Ah, so my shrively canes are normal! Good to know!!

I don't know what you define as "small" – well actually you're tommymiami so you know REALLY SMALL – but I've seen unicums with canes coming close to a foot long.

I don't know - they seem to get bigger and bigger.

Or perhaps "small" can mean "something that doesn't get as long as your arm and you can keep in the house easily"

I love these plants!
Does yours have a fragrance? I've read it has a peach OR orange OR crayon smell, but I smell nothing on mine.

Great colour and nice bloom. These photographs show that yours are older than my plant. Few days ago I posted my blooming plants photographs. I think flowers colour of mine are almost same darker like yours.

Actually among my unicum canes the highest size is 6inch till now. But I observed that size of any new cane increased than previous cane. So I don't know the ultimate size of these varieties. In one case my experience is same to you. I as well smell nothing on mine.

astrid, my plant must be really good clone, because it grows very small and stays very small, the plant you see on the picture is grown outside in Florida for past 4+ years, and it was blooming size purchase, so this unicum has at least some 7+ years! It is not getting any longer, just growing more new canes every year. I know there are much larger ones, but I have small one (and that goes for many other Dendro species I do have).

I did not smell any scent on mine too, will try at night :-)
