Phal Queen Beer
yep - it really does have that name. I have had this for years and blooms faithfully. This is the 2nd time within a year.

Could you post a closer pic of a flower? I want to see if it's the same as mine.
Thanks

Really beautiful, I love it!
rbarata, there are quite a few purple phals, it's probably impossible to be 100% sure from a picture even if yours looks identical.

Yes, I know but I was hoping to find some identical traces. Do you know any site where to find pics or some other type of help to identify purple phals?

No, when I've tried searching for ones similar to something I have it's always been a hit & miss of looking at vendor's websites. I like to name my NoID's with a name similar, but not quite the same as something that looks similar (with a note on the tag that's is my made up name). I often search for ones like new ones I get, but have never found a good source of going about it.

Mine was an offer and at the vendor's site there's not any phal like it...probably it was a seasonal variety.

a close-up. Blooms are about 2 inches across. Queen Beer are not that common anymore - large plant and relatively small flowers. On the upside, they have plenty of neon-coloured magenta/purple flowers and the larger/older ones can bloom more than once per year. Blooms are long-lasting.
