Default Phal mannii 'Black' in flower

I love this one. Usually it only manages few flowers at once with old ones dying as new ones open, but this year there were 15 open on two spikes at the peak, and 13 open when these photos were taken.

A lovely sweet fragrance around mid day. I left this in it's usual spot when the flowers opened rather than moving to the living room, I wonder if that is why it held the flowers better.

Oh that looks great. Mine has no scent, but it is on a north facing windowledge. Does yours get sun when it smells?

Gorgeous Rosie!!!
I've never noticed a scent on mine either even on a warm day. Mines in spike now, though just one, and I can't wait for blooms!

Thanks everyone. Not noticed the sun making a difference to the fragrance, but the fragrance is stronger when it's just been watered, but also definitely only at a certain time of day. With it upstairs on the bedroom window-ledge I only notice it when I go up there in the day, nothing in the morning and nothing in the evening.

It's just lovely. I have never noticed mine having a fragrance either. It could be my sniffer is not so good. I will be checking for this when mine blooms, which will be soon, yay!!!!
