a few blooming dens
Two of these dens, Wave King (purple and yellow) and Fancy Yellow are from Yamamoto Orchids in Hawaii. The small den kingianum I just bought from the Central Fl orchid show. The last one, den Oriental Smile "Fantasy", I bought local at Tom Ritter's orchids in Kissimmee FL.

Beautiful bunch! Really nice blooms, Den. Fancy Yellow is especially great.
Is the 4th photo the one you just got at the orchid show? While it's a lovely plant it's not the species Dendrobium kingianum, probably a hybrid involving kingianum and species in section Phalaenanthe.

Yes the fourth one is the one I got at the show. It doesn't have a tag but I was told it was a kingianum. It really doesn't matter to me as I love all my orchids for their beauty not their names but it is nice to have a way to ID them. This one was great because it has two blooming kiekies and has a very nice smell. Thanks for letting me know. |
