April: A Gongora purchased as a tricolor/fulva. I'm not sure if the id is correct, as I have detected absolutely no fragrance and the one person I know who grows it says the fragrance is room filling:

Update of sorts! This morning I noticed a moderate fragrance from the Gongora. However it isn't at all like what I was told that it was by my friend. He categorizes his as a a vanilla scent, whereas I would describe the scent of this plant as very similar to a Hyacinth, but not as cloying. I realize that smell is among the more subjective of our senses, so I certainly wouldn't qualify or disqualify an id based upon it. I truly wish that good photography wasn't such a mystery to me!

They are lovely. One doesn't seem to want to come up for me. Sure do like that Den. I'm not so good with the pictures either. Well I'm sure a better camera would help.
I guess we should all do one of these threads. I my have some months I don't have anything in bloom, or not. I guess that's the fun with this one. How many months does one not have blooms.

You almost jinxed me! Last month I had 3 or 4 plants to choose from, but so far this month, nothing. But it looks like in the next day or two I'll have a rescue Phal rescue me back! Close call, but I have some breathing room because next month is covered. Here's a sneak peek of June's selection. Reliable as death. Guess away:

Well sorry didn't mean to jinx you. I have almost all my phals blooming now. It's phal season. I have a white one as well. Good for him rescuing you. I still like the plain old white ones.

June 2015, like I said last month, reliable as death. Hopefully death will be as late for me as the first bloom of these are this year! What's June without Calopogon tuberosus, the Grass Pink orchid?
