The discolor is practically at the end of its spikes now. I have a nuce purple hybrid about to pop open on the tree as well.

Well, I do already have some cuttings potted, I just thought a plant with more girth/size might be better. If I find myself in a bad place trying to dig out, that's a good Plan B.

It's stunning, it is almost surreal, like a living flowering sculpture! And not only the orchids, the Plumeria is also gorgeous! Do you have more 'orchid' trees? 👍👍👍

My garden is still fairly young, I have some grevillea which I plan to add native dendrobium to and a moraya which will probably end up with phalaenopsis. I aldo have a fairly large cutting of a nice deep pink frangipani tjat is currently potted. They are all at least another year away before they get adorned with chids.

Just realized it, is that discolor var bromfeldii? They are quite expensive here, a small one cane plant here is about AUD 40!

No it's not. If anything it may be var. Fuscum but I'm not 100%.
