I like spring much better...

i lost all the buds on most of the phals it got so cold. I cut the spikes quick enough that now almost all of them have re budded the old spike and a few grew new ones. The phal surf song started to blast the little nubs so I pinched them off. The nodes starting branching. The surf song has 2 full spikes and 62 buds that are working on blooms. Not a very good picture but you can see here what it did. I remember now why I do this.

I hope unlike my last batch of spikes these make flowers. It was so much easier buying them in bud . Growing your own is sometimes frustrating.

The pups on the Bc Little stars have pups off the pups ...all of the Bc's have done well in the cold over the winter and they all busting out new nubbins.

62 buds should make one heck of a show! Maybe more than if it had bloomed out the first set that died.

On the plant with "22 new puppies" (congrats on that explosion of growth BTW!!), do the new growths normally come in sideways like that? I ask because some of Cattleyas are doing the same thing and I've never seen that before! Just curious.
