Some of my orchids in bloom
Well the month of April is packed with flowers this year!
Happy to see that, as I built my greenhouse last year and noticing a big big difference in the amount of orchids blooming already!
So here we go:
Coelogyne cumingii (bought this big plant for barely €15 from someone who was getting rid of his collection, very dark form of this species)

Pleurothallis lanceana (Am I the only one seeing a prayer mantis face?...)

Stelis sp.

Pleurothallis ionanthum (notice the little pearls on each lip, only noticed those after taking the picture!)

Coelogyne 'Danielle De Prins' (C. speciosa x C. fimbriata...although I really doubt this, I don't see any of the parents in the flowers. It's like I'm looking at a minor form of C. xyrekes)

Pholidota chinensis (Again from the same guy getting rid of his collection, sorry if most of the flowers are already gone!)

That's it! Any help on ID'ing those two sp. is welcome, althought I doubt there is much to be found on the yellow pleuro...I have a pleurothallis dubbeldammii that looks like it, but the flower doesn't stick to the leaf as this one does so I'm guessing this is a difference species!

You have quite a collection of flowers this spring. From large cascading flowers to miniatures. Some of them fragrant. I am always partial to white fragrant flowers. Your orchids are all happy and healthy. Good growing !

I also see the prey-mantis. And that pleuro sp looks like the back/body of one !
I have found about 10 Chinese mantis egg cases so far as I clean up the garden. About 8 years ago I bought a couple of egg cases over the internet and each subsequent year I have had 4-6 large mantis in my garden ( hundreds hatch - they eat each other as they grow ). In fact one female always has a deformed wing - and I see that genetic defect every year in a female.

Yeri, AMAZING. I wanted to mention my favorites, but than when scrolling down I realized it would take forever, I love all the miniatures, amazing pics too, and all the orchids are of course gorgeous! Great growing! Nice collection of minis too, and great pics!

Thanks everyone! As I said before, it hasn't even been a year since I put them inside the greenhouse and the results are astonishing!
Maybe having so many blooming orchids will keep me from buying new ones...for a while at least
