I love Den. Stephen Batchelor but have only seen pictures. My concern is that it might be too large for my space. Please tell me, how big is your plant? It is beautiful!

Thanks very much Judi

Shirley, Right now my den is maxing at 10 inches and in bloom with 2 more canes becomming active, these are the first blooms. I believe becuz of this it will stay to the more smallish medium size, 2 feet maybe.
The 1 parent "johnsonii" is a med to large plant, While the other parent "alexanderae" is small to med size.

Time will tell

Ooh I have a couple of nasties hanging around - first one comes to mind in my lil twinkles, not so pretty then theres a mini catt

I think I just grow orchids that suit my conditions, try to maintain my lighting and air-flow with fans. I'm not the best at fertilizing but I do manage one in awhile
Keeping the media nice and fresh not allowing it to break down to the point of mush helps too.

During the winter I try hard to spray down all my orchids with some dish soap every 10 days to 2 weeks. I feel it helps keep those nasty mites at bay.
