Thanks everyone! Yes...most of my orchids live inside year round because of critters outside. This was the first year that I put some orchids on the porch...cattleyas and a small cymbidium. They put out new growth, but no blooms yet. The bay window in my pictures gets morning sun and my oncidium types seem to thrive there. When I got that Wilsonara last year it had two spikes about 12 inches long each. This year they are almost three feet long and they have 20-30 blooms each and more coming every day. I was so surprised!!! Also, each bloom is a bit different from the one next to it...some more spots, some less. I don't remember noticing that last year.
I am so lucky to live in a rural area where my "backdrop" is rolling green hills and (mostly!) blue skies. Pretty much anything looks good against that.
