Great pictures Jerry. Nice plants. Is your parishii simply growing on a wood slab - no media? I am thinking the humidity is high in your growing area?

Is your Maxillaria tenuifolia mounted? After a long period of mine enduring pot culture, I moved it to a mount. EpiWeb like material with some moss. It seems slow to respond.

Any culture tips for this species?

There is a little pad of sphagnum that is about five square centimeters. The average humidity is about 75% in my area but slightly more at times in my greenhouse. I find that is best to mist at least every other day but I have a lot of air movement.

My Maxillaria grew for years in a clay pot of tree fern and it grew well but refused to flower. Last year I transferred it to a basket lined with coconut fiber and filled with long fiber sphagnum moss. It seems to love it because it has bloomed very well this year.
