Because of the topography of the land, some areas are way above (as high as 7000 ft) sea level, and gets as cold as 17oC at times. Other areas however are very warm. Luckily for me I live in the cooler areas, so I can take chances with orchids like Cymbidiums and Den. nobile.
What we do sometimes is change the location of the plants until you find a spot it really likes.
I bought those Cyms off ebay all the way from Alabama, USA in 2008, and they are blooming for me for the 1st time.
