Default A pretty leaving present

So this week I left the job I had had for 14 years and started a new one (same type of work, different place and different people).

One of the customers I've worked closely with over a significant number of those years came over for lunch on my last day and bought me this pretty present

What a thoughtful gift. She knows I like orchids (I've even given her advice on hers). My first two days in my new job have gone well and I get home at night and see these pretty flowers.

Such a nice goodbye gift!! That one will always be special for you. It must be hard to leave a place you've worked so long at, even though you had good reason for leaving.

Thanks everyone

Yeah Camille, it was hard, despite everything.

While typing this there was a knock on the door and a package delivered from Interflora. It's a nobile type Dendrobium as a gift from the boss of the same company the lady who gave me the phal works for.

I did also get a gift from the company I left. Some cut crystal glasses to match the set they got hubby and I when we got married

Talk about thoughtful people!! Sounds like they were great customers to work with if they appreciate you that much.

Now you know what to do with the Den!

Wow... What a great boss and co-worker.

Maybe I should drop a hint or two to my co-workers and my boss about my new found orchid addiction...
