I'm jealous. Buu Lady is one of my favorite orchids but it's never bloomed more than once a year for me. It's a nice red catt just in time for Christmas. Enjoy!

Looks like you are in for a great display! I hope you post another picture when some blooms open up. I have considered getting this one for a while now. can you tell me if its a large plant and what kind of light and temps you give it?

20 inches tall and 20 inches wide right now but one spike is going to hit 24 inches tall I think.

Light and temps ...lol I no longer even keep a thermometer in the room with the chids I just adjust it in the morning to what I think feels right and at night do the same if the weather is colder since my heater doesnt keep temps where I like them .
If I just leave it where it feels right for day then at night its too cold so I adjust every morning ....in summer it just sits outside on the table and grows.

Since my room for them is so small I cant realy do any kind of zoning for cooler and warmer types and they are all just mixed together and seem to do fine.As for light all I can supply, it has been under a 65 watt flourecesent untill just a day or so ago of 6500 k color and I moved it because the buds were about a inch from the bulb. Now it is sitting in between the 80 watt twisty cfl and the 65 watt flat flood light type flouro I built with a electronic ballast and a pl bulb

I have den aggeratum and den parrishii in bloom right now as well and the parrishii for the second time this year ...

Wow! 20 inches wide! It must be a specimen! Well, it's lovely and if I see one I just might get it. sounds like it is happy with the conditions you give it.

Ya, I was figuring end to end! Thanks for the picture of the entire plant. Worth the size to get that many blooms and it actually looks fairly upright.

very upright in fact ...one lead that is opening blooms has got heavy enough to need some support now but thats realy not been needed untill this round ...this one does tend to want to climb upwards though and each new lead raised the crown of the plant a bit.

I realy need to repot it after this round the roots emerge late on this one and new leads are almost totaly mature before they pop out .

It almost always makes two new leads from each old lead too so it grows realy fast ...this was a 3 Pb division 2 years ago and now has 20....seems that every new lead blooms right away too there are 3 leads that formed after it was brought inside this fall with spikes on them already now ..and it had 5 leads that had formed sheaths while it was outside already and the pbs were mature so older mature leads and new growths are going to spread out its bloom season for a long time
