Default Many in Bloom....many more on the way!

On the trailing edge of rainy season here in Guate and the orchids are kicking into high gear. Lots of them in bloom and even more with spikes. A few pics attached.

A couple more opened up today!

One is a Cattleya "Thiago" (a surviving bit of the name tag was helpful)

Another appears to be some variety of Oncidium (quite pretty).

Pics attached.

Loads of spikes on many other plants, so more to come.

I'd never get anything done if I lived in a tropical place with beautiful plants like yours.

Beautiful! You're lucky to live where you can grow orchids naturally like that. Good job.

I can't take much credit for them...they mostly grow themselves...another handy feature of living in the tropics.

A Stanhopea that has been in spike for what seems like months finally opened up today. Have not verified exact type yet, but pretty radical spray of flowers.

Also, Oncidium ornithorhynchum is now in full bloom.

Several other plants still in spike.

Pics attached.

It probably took a long time because that is a very long spike.

To my understanding that isn't a Stanhopea, it is a Gongora.

A Gongora is allied to Stanhopea.

I think it may be a Gongora tricolor, idk.
