Much better idea!

What most people struggle with in growing orchids is creating the correct environment. Why make it difficult -- just go where the environment is already appropriate -- orchids grow like weeds here!

Even better, with the dramatic altitude variances between different areas of Guate (ranging from sea level to about 10,000 feet), you can find lots of different micro-climates with different varieties of orchids.

Black Orchid still making more blooms and the little Oncidium ornithorhynchum just surprised me with another round of blooms. Pics attached.

Also, have several plants with spikes almost a meter long with buds starting to form!

This one has been in spike for what seems like forever. It just opened it's first bloom today. At first glance, it looks like an Oncidium to me, but have not ID'ed yet -- suggestions a much appreciated.

Kaboom! Huge numbers of Oncidium blooms now. Plus Black Orchid is still producing blooms, Trigonidium, and Epidendrum..
