thats because I simply said krytonite assuming everyone would know its genus not to use it as a genus name.....ursula and chariots of fire are in the genus you named absolutly in the grex Kryptonite?

Not a good idea to assume that everyone, especially on this forum, would automatically know the genus. There are beginners here who don't even know what genus means, let alone grex !

I have no idea what all clonal names are used with Kryptonite. Clonal names are not registered unless there has been an award on the plant, i.e. AM or FCC/AOS. So, hypothetically, you could give your plant a different clonal name every time you turned around if you wanted to ! There are no rules about clonal names which tends to make it very confusing.

JB - to back up what Chryss was saying and in answer to your question, yes there is another orchid named Kryptonite and it happens to be a Cymbidium. I like Chryss try to be as exacting as possible when posting so as not to confuse the novice members, that entails including the proper genus, upper and lower case names where appropriate and single quotes around clonal names.

LOL dont get carried away .....Im sure chariots of fire and ursula after the word Krytonite when googled would bring up a picture and more than enough detail to identify them, in fact that is how I looked them up a year or so ago myself

But I did not know there was cym with the kryptonite name also

Appears that you have mastered the art of orchid culture. Everything is beautiful. I once tried growing in the aliflor as we call it here but I was totally unsuccessful.

I would not say mastered quite yet but I have got to the point that I can bloom quite a few and losses from rot are not as worrysome ...I did allmost lose my one catt to brown rot this spring literaly overnight but managed to save 4 pieces of it with good eyes and it is making a return slowly.

Thanks for the boost though
