Thanks Terri! I will ....I also have about 90 soldiers to take care of besides myself...thats the real concern. I guess I won't have time to think of acquiring more 'chids when I'm busy with my troops, thats always a good thing?!?
But thank you again Terri!

Our thoughts will be with you, Candice! Take good care of yourself and your troops! Maybe whoever fosters your orchids can send you photos of them while you're away?!

Thank you both!!! I won't be heading out till Feb 08, but that time is gonna fly by! Thats a great idea to whoever will foster my plants and send pictures....

Yes Terri! It seems though I am only 25 soon to be 26 in March, I have a natural motherly instinct inside me and haveheard that since I was 21! I have been nicknamed mother hen, and most of my troops are 10 -20 years older than me, with children of their own. I still will grow eyes, more eyes I should say, in the back of my head!!!
I will be on the forum religiously till then, and maybe during my tour over there when I get the chance to use the internet

But for now, I am still in the "love to have more 'chids phase"
I think I should receive about 5 tomorrow from Peter of Big Leaf Orchids.....

CANT WAIT

Ohhh! Big Leaf Orchids has such pretty Phals! Are those what you ordered? What's coming? (This is another part of the orchid addiction - living vicariously through others people's orchid orders!!)

Big Leaf!! Wow! They have a blue Phal I want in the worst way. I just can't justify to myself (let alone my husband) paying $125 for a plant. Orchid poor is one thing.......

Yeah, so what'd ya get? Inquiring minds want to know!

Terri,
While some of Big Leaf's plants are rather expensive, there are many that are not so hard on the wallet.
He takes great care of his 'chids and you can expect the same great quality in his $25 plants as in his $125 plants

I was only 23 when I was sent to Viet Nam. I can relate to the mixup of emotions from patriotism, to fear, to "what will ever happen with my life?" And then for some of us it was was "what will happen to my spouse if I get killed?" Yes I think I understand all the emotions, but when you get back here successfully (hear that troop? No seconds here, you WILL come back, right?) we'll still be debating how to grow orchids and you can fill us in. Right?

Ross, THANK YOU FOR SERVING ALSO!!!! I APPRECIATE YOU AND YOUR SERVICE YOU HAVE DONE IN THE PAST THAT HAS LEAD UP TO NOW, THE FUTURE.

As for the Second....Big Leaf Order should be here in about 12 hours
1 x Phal. lueddemanniana ('DT' x sib)= $10.00
1 x Phal. schilleriana (x sib)= $15.00
1 x Phal. Ho's Fantastic Mirage 'La Flora'= $15.00
1 x Phal. (corningambo X schilleriana)= $20.00
1 x Phal. Sogo Anna 'Shih Hwa' = $18.00
Can you tell I love Phals????
I included the price for you Terri! I will take plenty of tomorrow and post them for you to see.

I also have quite a few phals and one vanda coming from an Orchid club on ebay. I only bought those plants for around $5 -$6 each. That list is as follows:
Phal violacea Borneo $5.50
Phal Brother Sierra Gold $6.50
Phal Gold Coin $8.50
Phal Hsing Ying Mount $6.50
Phal White Dream "M-3" $6.50
Phal venusa x violacea $6.50
Mokara Chark Kuan Orange $4.50 (Vanda)

Oh and all the ebay ones are in spike, says the seller...I will see around the 24th of August when they arrive. But I am really excited for Big Leaf's order to come tomorrow!!!!! I have been wanting a schilleriana for awhile and now I will finally get the chance to have it!!!!
But as you can see how many 'chids I bought I should calm down some for a lil while, I need to for the wallet's sake!!!! Yeeeeeeiiissshhhhhh!
