WOW! That is beautiful and it REALLY took off! All those blooms!! I am jealous=)

Umm.....If you don't mind.....to me it looks more like a Tillandsia Intermedia. I haven't seen medusae with leaves that curl back as much and the spike branch so far. Also, Intermedia pups just like that (anywhere, including existing spikes) instead of the base to where (I believe so don't hold me to it=)) medusae does......If I am wrong I apologize and am not trying to step on your toes or anything (if it comes off that way) just trying to help

And if you google Tillandsia Intermedia you should get some pictures of the spike that resembles yours=)

Hi Glen,

Sorry for not answering, but I missed your post. Thank you. That's a Myrmetonia Firefly and I'm having problems with her right now. I noticed in spite of her many spikes that she didn't have much of a root system and no new growths. When I took a closer look I could see small holes throughout her mount. Ants had tunneled through the wood and the mount had been retaining too much moisture and was rotting. I didn't realize there was a problem until I saw mushrooms sprouting from beneath the plant. The Firefly has since been removed from the mount and the mount discarded. I clipped off her spikes and she's in intensive care. She's also in multiple pieces. I wouldn't want to risk shipping any of her divisions under the current circumstances, but I'll notify you when things improve.
