Default Summer has begun :)
These are a few of the new blooms that have opened over the past three weeks:

The first is Rlc. Laura Bush 'Splash Petal' (Chadwick and Son)
The second is C. mossiae 'RE Patterson x Young select' (Chadwick and Son)
The third is Phal Shenandoah Fire 'Brennan's Orchids' AM/AOS (Brennan's Orchids)
The fourth is C. purpurata var. werkhauserii-striata 'Fantasy Wings' BM/JOGA (Canaima Orchids)
The fifth is Rlc. Waianae Leopard 'Ching Hau' HCC/AOS (Little Brook Orchids)

The first I bought in bloom, the second and fourth were in sheath. The third I spiked and bloomed on my own shortly after receiving it but the last one I nursed along for two and a half years and it finally yielded
All of the cattleyas are fragrant but the fifth is spectacularly potent
