Blooms to brighten the day.
Haven't had much bloom action lately. Overcast skies and cold snaps are stalling the spikes and buds.
My Lc. Gold Digger 'Fuch's Mandarin' is the only chid strutting her stuff.

Oh your a evil evil woman ...lol here I am staring at my bud that has popped and willing it to hurry up so I can post my first rebloom on a chid I bought.....

Thanks, John. I saw your post featuring the photo of your bud. First reblooms are especially exciting and the anticipation can make one a little crazy. Your bud should be fully open in the very near future. Great growing! Keep us posted.

Love the color!! My lone Catt (a noid) has the same color, but it has narrower petals. I call it my Halloween Catt, even though it blooms in spring!

This year her blooms are a more intense orange than ever before. The deep yellow lip is more defined too. This is the first time in 4 years that I've noticed a marked contrast between the yellow lip and orange petals. Another first, she's faintly fragrant.
