Default My blooming ladies....

Hi!

I've finally gotten around to rounding up photos of my in bloom orchids and thought it was about time to post!

I have to say my favorite is my Lou Sneary - it is such an adoreable plant and has gone nutty with flowers! I've counted 34 open and one left to go. Hopefully, some of my other 'chids will bloom in the coming months as well!

I can say without a doubt.... I am an orchid addict.

Nice! Really beautiful blooms. What's your growing conditions for the Lou Sneary?

Thanks!

My Lou Sneary is growing on a heavily shaded east window 6" under a 28w 6500K CFL. Humidity is around 70% and temps are 82F during the day and 60F at night using bottom heat.

Ooo, I love the Hamellsewara, such a gorgeous blue! I love blue flowers (to the point where I overload my garden with blue cornflowers!), but, alas, I have no blue orchids .... (yet!)

This orchid is such a beautiful blue! In the sun it's magnificent and they have the fragrance of black pepper with hint of sugar. I'd recommend them - mine grow with my Phals; since they are taller than the Phals they get slightly more light.

And blue cornflowers - why haven't I thought of them?! I know what'll be in my garden this year!

Thanks for the response! I think I need to move my Lou Sneary to a warmer spot in the house. And you've also convinced me to add the Hamellsewara to my 'want' list! Darn it.
