December 2010 in Riedisheim...
The greenhouse is doing a good job so far!

a very quick shot of this plant, currently blooming in my greenhouse... two flowers, showing in different directions... very bad quality shot, I know, but.... here it is anyway:

Lc. Chian-Tzy Ostelove: First time bloomer... Very strong cinnamon fragrance... I hope in the future it produces more flowers per spike (it should go up to 5 or 6 flowers!)

Ctsm. rivularium: First time bloomer... plant and flowers really look like those of other Ctsm. rivularium I have seen in photos, but the labellum described and shown in the book "The World of Catasetum by Holst" is different... This is a very compact Catasetum with a very nice spicy fragrance!

So this is what you've been waiting for. Isn't it just great to see your plants warm, happy and in bloom? Makes it worth the wait, doesn't it.
The greenhouse looks really nice, like an oasis in the storm. Congratulations! I'm really happy for you and thanks for sharing your lovely blooms.

Perfect place to go snuggle up on a cold snowy day. And the chids look like they're enjoying it, the blooms are beautiful. What temperature are you aiming to keep in there this winter?

since most of my plants are warm growers I have set a minimum of 18°C... however, at some corners the temps goes down to 15°C (this is where I keep the "cooler lovers")

It looks like a lovely greenhouse, and as usual your plants are beautiful - well done, thank you for showing us. What do you use to heat your greenhouse?

You too? Come on over, I think there's more than enough space in his greenhouse for both of us to move in!

Those are not bad shots at all. You have a wonderfully working greenhouse and the babies inside are OMG.
