Hi Ramon...I love the Masde! The colors and speckling are great.
The others are beautiful too, but the Masde is my favorite.
thanks, David

Hi Ramon, they are all very nice. I've never seen any other Howeara's other than Lava Burst. I like that yellow one. Very cute.

Same here, never seen any other Howeara other than Lava Burst (mine is just starting to open its buds). Got to get Mini-Primi now!
Is Paph Mystic Isle a niveum hybrid? They look very similar.

Yes, Camille.. Paph. Msytic Isle is (niveum x Greyi)...
so, my comments to the two Paphies... Paph niveum is supposed to be a selfing of an awarded plant, however I have my doubts that this plant is a pure niveum... too many and too large spots.
Paph Mystic Isle was sold as Paph. niveum var ang thong, once it bloomed the first time I sent the pictures to the nursery and after several discussions about the plant, it was confirmed to be Mystic Isle... It has gotten that label, but as in most Brachy Hybrids, they all look more or less the same, and therefore I am not 100% sure it is really a Mystic isle...

Thanks for the comments!
for the Masdevallia lovers... this is the plant to go for if you cannot provide cool growing conditions... it i snot only "warm tolerant" but it grows very well and bloom under intermediate/warm conditions!

Thanks for the info Ramon, I'm been looking for some warm tolerant masdies! The one I used to have would grow fine but never bloom, and would often suffer during french summers.

Camille, this one grows well, but it needs high humidity and air movement! (it does however much better under intermediate/cool conditions)
There is another one with similar colors, which likes even warmer temps: Masdevallia rex, but for some reason it is always EXTREMELY expensive!! (60$ at Ecuagenera and 70€ at "I-don't-remember-the-dutch-nursery-now")
