Default Late September Blooms

Just a few of my chids are in bloom right now.

My Potinara Burana Beauty 'Burana' currently has 13 blooms and she smells just like a rose. There were 4 previous blooms 5 weeks ago. I purchased her from an acquaintance for $5.00 last year. She was a well established plant at the time, but she'd been neglected and was surviving in badly decayed potting media. All she needed was a repot and some TLC. She is a vigorous grower and has doubled in size during the last year.

Noid Psychopsis (a gift from my daughter) This is her 3rd consecutive bloom and there's another bud waiting in line...all of them from the same node. She reminds me of my Mendenhall 'Hildos', but her leaves have much a much less distinct pattern.

My Stanhopea 'Ronsard' bloomed from two spikes about 6 weeks ago. This time there was only one spike with 4 blooms. She has an intense coconut/vanilla fragrance.

The noid dendrobium was one of my beginner chids and purchased as a rescue about 3 years ago. Initially I made a big mistake caring for this one and it drastically delayed her growth. Last year she managed to spike on two occassions, but weevils ate her second batch of blooms. This month she blessed me with two spikes of beautiful blooms that are slightly fragrant during mid-day.

They're all just beautiful!!! Burana Beauty is one of my favorites and yours looks ever so grateful for the good care you've given her. I can almost smell those flowers!
