Default Blooming Chids

These are my current bloomers.

My noid psychopsis is blooming again. This is the 2nd bloom from the same node and it looks like there's going to be a 3rd.

Pot. Burana Beauty 'Burana' is featured in the 3rd and 4th shots. Her fragance reminds me of roses. I bought her (complete with pot and hanger) for $5.00 early last fall and this is her first time blooming under my care. There are 3 other sheaths but only one of them is showing bud formation. There is also another sheathless bud which should be blooming within the next few days.

The next bloomer is my Noid Ascocenda. This chid is a reliable bloomer and one of my favorites. She also has 2 new healthy keikis.

Bc. Nodata 'Maili' is showing off again. This is her second blooming spike this season. Her first blooms appeared about 3 weeks ago and she has a 3rd spike that should be blooming within the next week.

Last but not least is Blc. Bryce Canyon 'Splendiferous' AM/AOS x C jenmanii 'Jungle Princess'. She was purchased as a baggy chid about 6 years ago. Her tag was lost but recently found. She's always been finicky about sunlight, burns easily, and rarely blooms in spite of her size. This season she got her act together and developed 5 healthy bud filled sheaths. One of them was cramped between leaves and busted. Then a palmetto bug ravaged 5 buds. These two blooms survived inspite of suffering the attack. They're damaged but they have a heavenly fragrance. There is one remaining sheath with 2 buds inside. Barring any more disasters, they should be blooming in a week or so.

Thank you both for your kind comments.

I must apologize for repeatedly posting bloom photos from the same plants. They're all current blooms, but you guys must be getting tired of looking at photos featuring my same old plants over and over again.

I'd love to be in the position to invest in more chids but that's an extravagance that my budget won't allow. I'm praying things will get better in the near future.

Thanks for understanding.
